Hi, I'm Roma. I am a certified personal trainer, with a deep passion for fitness, that has spanned over many years. I believe that exercise is not only crucial for a healthy body, but also for a sharp mind and overall wellness.

My journey into fitness began with my own transformation, having successfully lost a significant amount of weight. This experience has given me a profound understanding of the challenges and triumphs that come with changing one's lifestyle and the impact our appearance can have on us, especially as women. I specialize in strength training and endurance, proving that not all cardio has to be boring.

I became a personal trainer because I wanted to share the life-changing benefits of fitness with others. My approach is holistic, focusing on both the body and the mind, ensuring that you feel strong, confident and happy. I know first-hand how our appearance can influence our self-esteem and overall well-being. This drives my passion to help women and men alike achieve their goals and feel their best, inside and out.

I offer a variety of services including one-on-one personal training, group sessions, sessions with your friend or partner and 30 min speed sessions. My workouts are designed to be enthusiastic and fun, incorporating elements of strength training and dynamic cardio that keep things exciting and effective. Whether you're looking to lose weight, build muscle, or enhance your endurance, I tailor each program to meet your unique needs and goals.

I am a member of the York Sport Gym and noticed Roma with her clients. She is a bubbly, happy and very friendly person. I took to her straight away. I booked 10 sessions and started to feel so much stronger and fitter after my second session. She pushes me to my limits and my confidence in moving around has increased considerably. I am 69 years old, a breast cancer survivor, have had a knee joint and hip replacement and am listed for another knee joint replacement. As a recent retiree with 40 years behind a desk, I was finally in a position to spend time on the absent strength and conditioning. I’ve attended gyms periodically but always been wary of the scary ‘weight lifting’ machinery Roma has been great at building a programme of exercises, working with and around the many constraints that years of sedentary life have created. All our sessions have used the scary machines and it’s all good. She encourages me to make the most out of every set, but also recognises when I’ve had enough. Most importantly she builds a great rapport that makes it easy to talk about the things I’m getting wrong, supporting me to improve. I’m coming to the end of my initial 12 sessions and based on that great start I’ve signed up for more. Thanks Roma

I started with Roma 2 weeks ago and I'm so happy I found her. She's warm and friendly and immediately puts you at ease. But be prepared to work hard! Roma can get the absolute maximum out of you and then 2/3 more!! I can't recommend her highly enough. I have never enjoyed the gym as much as I do now.

I was apprehensive about having a personal trainer but I have been delighted with what Roma has done so far and I really enjoy our sessions. She is taking me through a series of exercises to improve my core, legs and arm strength which, as a 74 year old, I'm in need of. As I have a bit of a problem with my neck she's always careful that the exercises don't stress it. Roma has a good sense of humour and is easy to talk to, but she pushes me quite hard, for my own good!. She explains everything really well. Looking forward to our next sessions.

I am absolutely thrilled to share my experience training with Roma! After just a couple of weeks, attending two sessions a week, I've already noticed muscle definition in my body. As someone going through menopause, I’ve experienced some significant changes that weren't exactly welcome (the dreaded belly, bum and thighs fat) but Roma has truly changed the game for me.

In the past, I spent countless hours on cardio, hoping to shed those extra pounds and regain my tone, but it turns out that approach wasn’t quite right for me. Roma introduced me to weight machines that I had previously avoided, and she has a remarkable ability to push me to my limits, knowing exactly when I have more to give.

I’ve signed up for a 10-week program, and for the very first time in my life, I genuinely look forward to going to the gym! I couldn’t be more excited to have Roma as my personal trainer. She's an absolute gem, and I highly recommend her to any women looking to get their bodies back in shape!

I would highly recommend Roma.
She's knowledgeable, fun, down to earth and easy to get on with. More importantly, Roma really motivates and encourages you and pushes you that bit extra, especially when you are tired and your brain wants your body to stop.

I have had 3 sessions with Roma. I am really enjoying the sessions a lot!
Roma is a fantastic motivator and full of great positive energy. She is straight talking, patient and kind all at once.

She is skilled at tailoring sessions to your personal requirements, be that what you’re wanting to work on/achieve or any health considerations/concerns that you may have.
I have signed up for a block of 12 and am already thinking of booking another block!
In summary I am loving the sessions that Roma creates for me.

I have had three sessions with Roma so far and she doesn’t take long to work out your strengths and weaknesses, giving you tips on what you can do to address the weaknesses when you are working out on your own. Each session has been really varied, challenging and fun - and Roma is always really encouraging and aims to get the best out of you.

Definitely looking forward to more sessions with Roma and would recommend her to anyone looking for a friendly and knowledgeable personal trainer.

It’s very easy to make excuses and reasons why not to visit the gym. I spoke with Roma and instantly took a liking to her, a big personality and very positive in her work, I had my first 1 to 1 with her this morning, I found her to be very knowledgeable, patient with a sense of humour, a very sociable person making my workout stress free, have booked her for the rest of July👍.

Had my first session today and it was brilliant. Roma was so attentive she understood my goals and put me at ease explaining step by step her approach. She helped me with technique and pushed me when she knew I could do more! well, I never !!! never thought for one minute I had anything like what I had in me, in me. Roma, is gentle, kind and kinda-gently-pushy ~ it works for me and crucially when my self-confidence was pretty much non-existent, well ... what are you waiting for? get buczzzz-kowska'd and surprise yourself !!!
