As a Personal Trainer, my aim is to offer an empathetic, motivating, and results-driven approach to help you achieve your fitness goals, no matter what they are. Whether you're struggling to lose weight, finding it hard to remain consistent with training, or feeling uncomfortable or anxious in the gym, I'm here to support and guide you every step of the way.

I have a passion for fitness in all its forms. I've been dedicated to the gym for years, love walking in the fells, and have also been a swim teacher. I also understand firsthand the challenges of managing fitness with IBS, meaning that nutrition has been a big challenge of mine, so I understand if it is for you in your own way as well. I take a very deliberate approach to my own training, ensuring that I continually make progress but also train correctly, in a way that will ensure I can stay healthy for a long time!

To help you succeed, we'll create a personalised training program tailored specifically to your needs. Together, we'll focus on efficient, effective, and most importantly, fun training methods that ensure you enjoy the process while making lasting progress.

*I also carry out PT sessions at Ulverston Leisure Centre*

I am an ex fitness professional but was feeling bored and unmotivated in the gym so I decided to book some sessions with James to help me refocus and try something different.
I have had four one hour sessions so far and it has been challenging but really enjoyable. James is very encouraging and it’s clear he has listened to what I said I wanted to achieve. I already feel stronger and an extra bonus is that I am starting to fit into clothes I thought I’d never be able to wear again!
I’m used to being in a gym but it’s amazing how much more effective a workout is when you’ve got someone “persuading” you to do more than you thought you were capable of. I’d definitely recommend James if you want to up your game!
