I began my individual fitness journey several years ago, using a personal trainer to help me to meet my specific goals. Having been through my own journey, I understand the physical and mental challenges involved and can use the experience and knowledge I have gained through my training and qualifications to help you in your quest for fitness and a healthy lifestyle.

I can tailor your workout to meet your individual goals in relation to your current fitness level and ambitions. I'll be on hand with advice, support and motivation to help you set realistic targets and achieve your personal best.

If required, we can also discuss any nutritional guidance you may need - being a Level 4 Nutrition Coach in Weight Management and Sports Performance I can provide bespoke advice in this area. I aim to inspire and guide clients to healthier choices alongside a sustainable fitness routine.

As an experienced hybrid athlete, I have competed in various high-profile competitions including Hyrox, Turf Games and Deka. My diverse training background, along with a Spartan Deka coaching qualification, will assist me in guiding you through the process of competing in similar fields, if this is an area of interest for you. Again, working together, I can help you to achieve and perform to your maximum capability in competition/sports performance.

Unlike many of James’ other clients, I am relatively new to his personal training programme, although I have been a regular at his fitness classes for 7+ years. I have always had a passion for sport and exercise, playing hockey from the age of 12 and running regularly throughout this time.

Since starting PT, i have learned more about my body and the optimal ways to fuel and maintain it in order to see the best results, but more importantly, I have discovered just how hard you can push yourself with the right guidance. I have seen more improvement in the last 6 months than the last 6 years and this is down to James and his incredible knowledge from both a fitness and nutritional perspective.

James’ guidance throughout the strength and endurance training is invaluable and I cannot thank him enough.

I would highly recommend James to anyone thinking about starting their fitness journey, wanting to switch up their fitness training or thinking of pushing themselves into some serious fitness beasting.

James Reed PT has made me the strongest I have ever been and yet continues to motivate me, push me and encourage me to keep getting better. I would have never achieved what I have so far, without the accountability and drive of having PT with him. Who’d have thought I’d ever have been good enough to represent Team GB in the Hyrox World Championships!!!

James is always calm and balanced while still ensuring you’re pushing yourself and getting the most out of each session.

My goals have changed over the years and James has flexed to meet them. Yes you can join a gym and lift weights but what you get with James is a massive multiplier! This has resulted in us reaching targets in weeks that I expected to take months.

I trust my workouts to James as not only has he listened to my goals he has researched my sport to understand the strength required to excel and to stay injury free.

Alone I would have found an excuse to miss a session, something else would have been prioritised but instead I look forward to my session each week.

My PT journey started with James back in 2019, I had noticed that I had gained a lot of weight, I wasn’t happy with my body and nothing fitted like it used to.

Although I was a little nervous at first, not knowing what to expect from personal training, James quickly made me feel at ease.  We discussed my current lifestyle and my concerns, agreed some goals and James also assisted me with some ideas for healthier eating. The workout sessions were all targeted around my needs and my ability and were kept fun!

I found having weekly sessions kept me accountable, and I quickly started seeing noticeable changes to my body (& mind).

5 years later I am still having a weekly PT session and still loving it!  James keeps me motivated with varied sessions, encouragement, and a good bit of humour when I need it.

James has seen me through two Hyrox competitions, several Deka events and most recently a half marathon, with more planned for next year.

My PT journey started with James back in 2020.

At that current time, I was running 5-6 times a week, and was doing very little resistance training. I started PT with James as I wanted to improve my strength, as well as my overall confidence in the gym.

I started having weekly joint sessions with my friend. We initially agreed on a 10 week block, but here we are four years later still having our weekly sessions as we love it!

James has coached and supported me through multiple fitness competitions, including four hyrox’s. Currently, he’s coaching me in preparation for another hyrox, and a half marathon. His knowledge in nutrition and sports performance is outstanding. He’s passionate and committed to his role as a personal trainer and coach.

I’ve been having weekly PT sessions for several years with James and each week I’m realising new strengths and learning new skills.

James is a supportive PT and listens to your goals whilst trying, where possible, to push you to achieve your best. He also offers guidance on nutrition and is a good listener!

I originally approached James for PT sessions to motivate me to go to the gym and feel confident using the gym equipment, as often it can be daunting. I don’t worry anymore when I go into a busy gym, I remind myself of what I’ve come to do and where I can I try to help others who may be struggling in the gym.
