I’m Jack - a certified personal trainer with years of experience in strength and fitness. I’m always working towards big goals myself, with the most recent one being a powerlifting competition.

Since rejoining the gym in November I always stuck to the same machines and had “gym fear” of all the other people around me working so hard. In Feb, I decided to take the plunge to boost my own work outs and my confidence in the gym, and approach Jack for some hints and tips, and then completed a taster session. IVE NOT LOOKED BACK SINCE! I’ve enjoyed every session, and he had programmed me days for when I’m not with him, and has set me up with good nutritional information to support my goals.
I would recommend Jack to all, beginners and established gym goers. He listened to my goals, and is helping me work toward them every session

Great couples training sessions! My husband and I signed up with Jack to a series of weekly sessions after I had a free taster session and we are both absolutely loving them! Returning to the gym after a few months out was a bit daunting and we were bored by our old sessions. Jack has designed a fun and challenging programme that we can do together that he expertly amends to take account of our various injuries and aches. In 6 weeks we both feel so much fitter and stronger and have made great progress in toning up our body shapes. I love the constant adaptations that keep this interesting alongside a healthy bit of couples rivalry! We would highly recommend Jack to anyone considering a bit of personal training support, whatever your goals, for expert and friendly advice from a really nice guy.

Jack has been absolutely amazing from start to finish. I've worked with him on and off for a long time now, and he's helped me not only achieve my goals but also surpass my expectations.

I've had shoulder injuries, and Jack has helped me work around them. Not only that, but he's also enabled me to build strength in areas I didn't think possible due to the damage to my shoulder.

I highly rate him — absolutely worth every penny. I highly recommend anyone who's looking for a trainer to look no further.

Jack is an excellent personal trainer. I’m a fit guy in my 30’s with decent numbers on my main lifts and have competed in local CrossFit competitions in the York area. Jack’s programming goes beyond just hitting arbitrary numbers. He personalises his programs to factor in lifestyle, training history, outside stress & recovery as well as strengths and weaknesses. I’ve pushed through many a plateaus working with him.

Jack has managed to create me a program that caters for my needs perfectly. He has blended my criteria of 'gaining strength, driving body recomp and post shoulder surgery injury rehab' perfectly. I've been training with him for about a month and my progress is tangible and visible. We are pushing decent strength gains safely and my potential pain points (back/shoulder) are protected. Jacks ability to show the moves and break down machines, free weights and compound moves into easily replicable instructions is second to none. Thanks Jack. 🙌

Jack is the BEST!

Omg, I can’t thank Jack enough!! I used to be SO nervous about going to the gym—I had no idea what I was doing and was terrified that lifting weights would make me bulky. But Jack made everything so easy to understand! He showed me exactly what exercises work best for my body and made me feel super comfortable and confident. (Especially now that I’m the leanest I’ve been and not bulky 😂)

Now, I can walk into the gym without freaking out, and I actually know what I’m doing! I still book in with Jack sometimes just to check in, get a little inspo. But he’s given me all the tools I need to train on my own. If you’re scared of the gym or just need someone to help you figure things out, Jack is 100% the person to go to!

Being over weight and in my 50’s I was very anxious about going to a gym but Jack made me feel really comfortable and at ease. He helped me build my confidence and build on my fitness journey. He gave me excellent nutritional advice and I have shed 2 1/2 stone in 5 months and I have never felt better. Thank you Jack you are amazing highly recommend.

I trained with Jack for around a year to help me drop some weight and tone up. I felt quite anxious about lifting weights because I hadn’t done it before and it felt really intimidating - but Jack was great at putting me at ease, he taught me how to do everything correctly and I really surprised myself as with the correct form I could lift heavier weights than I thought! Would highly recommend Jack if you’re new to the gym and don’t know where to start.

I’ve been training with Jack on and off for a few years now. He’s a great motivator and has helped me towards achieving my initial goals and now surpassing what I originally thought I’d be able to accomplish.
