When life gets crazy and responsibilities at home and work pile up, it’s easy to let our health and fitness slip. The years go by, and we don’t even realise how much our health has declined.

But for most of us, there comes a time when we realise things must change. A time when taking back control over our health takes on new urgency.

Hello! My name’s Ian. I'm a husband, father of three, and I specialise in helping those who feel stuck finally break through the barriers that have been holding them back.

For many years I struggled to improve my health & fitness due to multiple health issues so I know first-hand how much of a toll poor health can take on you mentally, physically, and emotionally.

My goal is to help you overcome your own health and fitness frustrations, get in the best shape of your life and stay that way for good.

Ian provides a 1st class approach to personal training which is fun and helps you achieve your goals in the right sustainable way.

From our very first session, it was clear how dedicated he was to helping me achieve my goals. Going through different PTs previously and not finding the ‘right fit’ I thought I would try out CREW, and 18 months later, here I am still enjoying every session and progressing.

Ian dedicates a tremendous amount of time personalising varied training plans for each individual and clearly takes you through all exercises to ensure they are carried out correctly. It’s clear that he’s always working to stay ahead of the curve, refining his approach and training plans to ensure the best results.

His dedication doesn’t stop when the session ends. He checks in regularly to monitor progress, offers thoughtful nutritional advice, and consistently provides encouragement on the days when he can see I feel less motivated.

I have seen a massive reduction in my body weight, BMI and inches off the waist along with getting stronger and having more energy. Equally as important my confidence in going to the gym along with my mental health has vastly improved.

What stands out most about Ian is his ability to inspire and build confidence. He creates a positive, supportive environment where I feel pushed to do my best without ever feeling overwhelmed.

Ian has a way of making even the toughest workouts enjoyable (even the sled). He celebrates every victory, no matter how small, and constantly reminds me of my potential, which has been a huge source of ongoing motivation for me.

After having a baby I had zero motivation or idea how to get myself back to training.

Ian built a programme which allowed me to ease myself back to a routine but (believe me) was challenging as well! He really listened to what I wanted and built the exercises accordingly.

It was super hard for me to get back to the gym, but now a few months in I could not imagine my weeks without sessions with Ian, they have had a huge impact on my physical and mental health.

I've been training with Ian for about 4 months now and I couldn't be more pleased. I was a competitive powerlifter for several years and took a break to have more children. I decided to ease my way back into strength training at about 6 months postpartum. I saw Ian's profile on my gym wall and, as a busy working mum, I thought he sounded perfect.

Soon after contacting Ian we met for a physical assessment and to discuss my goals. Shortly after starting training I began to feel stronger and better at my other sports (swimming, cycling, long walks). My stamina, posture and balance have greatly improved too - I used to hate reverse lunges, not anymore!

The workouts are almost entirely strength and resistance training, which I love and keeps my interest. There is absolutely nothing boring like running on a treadmill for hours! Every session is whole-body, incorporating all the muscle groups, and all the exercises fit perfectly into one hour. The time goes by quickly and I feel great after.

Ian only works mornings which suits me well and allows us to make good use of the gym space before it gets too busy - for example we can do sled pushing without people in the way. I use the Calendly website to book the weekly slot I want way in advance, which is linked to Google Calendar. We train in a small group, 3 people max, which I enjoy as I've gotten to know Ian's other clients and they are all very friendly and encouraging. Ian himself is also a top bloke and a good laugh!

I highly recommend Ian's services and I'm looking forward to continuing my training with him for many years to come.

I've been training with Ian for about a year now, and this has been one of the best things I've ever done for myself.

I've gone from struggling to lift really anything at all, all the way to something I'm more than happy with. The programs that Ian puts together are all personalised to your ability and your goals, and while it seems hard (or sounds impossible), it's all timed and set to give real progress and results, and that's definitely what I've seen.

Sessions are run as groups, but you always get the support you need. He's always open to questions and knows his stuff.

Started Personal Training with Ian in August after being diagnosed with several treatable, supportively managed health conditions, 1 of which is lifelong and causes fatigue. I’ve been with Ian since May 2023 and I can honestly say I have no regrets, he’s a fantastic PT, friendly and approachable but also reasonable and understanding.

Don’t get it twisted though, he will definitely push you to your limits but that just makes the whole experience more worth while and leaves you wanting to do better and set your targets higher.

My progression from the start has been rapid, I look completely different since the first session and I’m now able to do things I would normally struggle at, with ease.
I can definitely say there’s been a few days where If I knew Ian wasn’t there pushing me on, I would give up and call it a day. I met with Ian 9 months ago as an ex-club swimmer wanting to improve in strength and overall fitness in order to achieve my personal goals in Masters Swimming on a national level.
Having worked with other sportsmen, Ian is very knowledgeable, understanding and motivating. The setup is great, the app works well which illustrates each exercise, some of which Ian demonstrates himself.

Before I started working with him, gym fear was my biggest reservation. I had not trained for years and had some self-doubt. I decided to hire a personal trainer to help improve my physical and mental health, lose weight and to increase my strength. Before I started working with Ian, I had restricted leg and shoulder movement, severe aches in my legs and shoulders, and I was having sporadic palpitations and headaches.



Ian took the time to create an exercise programme which is very personalised and tailored according to my needs which is helping me improve muscle strength day by day. My goal when I signed up to work with Ian was to get stronger and feel better about myself. But before I signed up, I felt really scared about working out in the gym. I thought it would be too hard for me and that I wouldn’t make any progress.



But how wrong was I!



Since working with Ian:



- I am getting stronger each week

- I’m learning new exercises

- I’m pushing myself to keep getting stronger

- I feel more confident at the gym



The workouts are challenging but not impossible and Ian encourages me the whole way through.



Ian does push me to work hard each session, but he doesn’t try to break me! I like the pace of our workouts too and I also like how each week there’s a steady build up in the work we do which then doesn’t make the process of getting strong feel so daunting.



Sometimes it can still be a little scary using new machines or learning new exercises for the first time, but Ian really helps to put me at ease by teaching me how to do all these new activities safely and correctly.



Now I really enjoy coming to the gym for our sessions! I’m really happy with the progress I’m making, and I always leave feeling really good too!
