Alan has been an active person for as long as he can remember, taking part and enjoying competitive sports throughout his life including squash, mid/long distance running, martial arts and football,

Having achieved success internationally in the challenging world of professional engineering at a senior level, Alan decided to change career to something that has always been his passion; health and fitness, through a new role in personal training.
He is REP Level 3 qualified with additional qualifications in GP referral and postural analysis.

Alan has a wealth of life experience, strong organisational and communication skills and is highly motivating and positively minded. He is absolutely committed to helping clients achieve optimum health through attention to lifestyle, fitness and nutrition.

Over 4 months Alan helped me in lots of ways. At the gym, he taught me loads of different routines for the core and how to use free weights - which I had never tried. During our sessions he always helped me work super hard. Also made me think about what I eat! Over 4 months I lost over 2 stone, and went from struggling to run 5k non-stop to doing a half marathon. I'm lucky I've enjoyed the challenge, but the weekly sessions we've had have been really motivating.

I had spent a long time going to the gym before meeting Alan and he helped me see fitness training in a new way. We looked at regulating diet, different daily routines with a wide variety of exercises and exercises to work in in the gym as well. Whilst I was with Alan I gained strength and confidence whilst loosing a round a stone in weight. Since working with Alan I have taken what I learnt with him to influence how I manage my fitness myself. Alan is friendly, professional and l found him to be a good mentor.
