At Your Personal Training, we’ve noticed a worrying pattern: people following social media content for their fitness advice. And whilst a quick scroll through TikTok might offer a burst of inspiration, it’s not the same as qualified, personalised guidance.
In fact, 60% of people now get their fitness tips from TikTok. But here’s the problem: too much of that content is created by influencers chasing views, not results – and certainly not safety.
From questionable technique to dangerous stunts and unrealistic expectations, this rise in unqualified advice is leading to real injuries – not real progress.
