Iva Boneva

My name is Iva (pronounced 'eevuh'), and I am originally from Bulgaria. I came to the UK five years ago to attend university and decided to stay. My interest in chemistry and biology led me to pursue a degree in Medical Genetics, fuelled by my passion for fitness and nutrition. In my final year dissertation, I explored "Nutrition and its effects on the cognitive performance of children." Even though I enjoyed those three years, after graduating, I knew I did not see myself working in a laboratory.

I grew up in the digital era, so creating content was something I did for fun. Filming videos, creating websites, and running social media pages were all hobbies of mine growing up. When I thought about what I wanted to do long-term, I knew I wanted to use my creative side. This led me to pursue a Master's in Communications, Media Practice, and Public Relations.

I am proud to say that I am the Digital Marketing Specialist for YOUR PT. This role is perfect for me as it allows me to merge both passions – fitness and media.
